Job Title: Junior Service Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Service Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in servicing home appliances to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) qualification, or a degree in any graduate stream, along with a passion for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of home appliances. In this role, you will be responsible for providing onsite installation, maintenance, and repair services, ensuring customer satisfaction and product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and test new home appliances at customer locations, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with company standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with home appliances, repair faulty parts, and replace components as necessary (e.g., motors, compressors, circuit boards).
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on appliances to ensure optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining appliance features, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including job details, parts used, and time spent. Complete service reports and update the system regularly.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with new product features, technologies, and repair techniques for home appliances.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers, technicians, and the service manager to resolve complex issues and improve service efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and installations meet company standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in servicing home appliances or similar consumer electronics.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of home appliance mechanisms (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electrical and electronic circuits and components.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and service manuals.
  • Communication Skills:Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Focused on providing excellent service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Physical Stamina: : Ability to handle and transport heavy equipment when required.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver's license (if required to travel to customer locations).

Preferred Skills: Prior experience in servicing a wide range of home appliances. Basic understanding of IT systems and software used in service management.

Working Conditions: Fieldwork, including travel to customer locations for on-site service. Working hours may include weekends or after-hours depending on service requirements. The role may involve handling heavy equipment and working in various environments (homes, businesses, etc.).
