Job Title: Service Engineer

Location: Shop No.4 - Ground Floor "ORCHID MALL", Main Road, Gulbarga (Kalaburagi), Karnataka.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in servicing home appliances and a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site and off-site technical support, repairs, and maintenance services for a variety of home appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair & Maintenance: Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of home appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwaves, and more.
  • Installation: Carry out the installation of new appliances at customer locations, ensuring proper setup and functioning.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact directly with customers to understand issues, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction. Communicate clearly and professionally during service visits.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks as per service schedules, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of appliances.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service visits, parts used, work performed, and customer feedback. Ensure timely submission of service reports to the Service Manager.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs as per manufacturer guidelines, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that the required spare parts and tools are available for service visits. Report inventory shortages and assist in the procurement process.
  • Training & Knowledge Updates: Stay updated with the latest product information, service manuals, and technical updates. Attend training sessions or workshops when required.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality of service in accordance with company standards and customer expectations. Follow safety protocols during all service operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:: a) ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
    b) Any graduate with minimum experience of 2 years in relevant field.
  • Experience:: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining home appliances.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with home appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and microwaves is essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including lifting heavy appliances and working in tight spaces.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if travel to customer sites is required).
